Our Process

How We Work

Senior specialists embedded where the business needs them most.

Saltwater does not begin with a fixed marketing package. We begin by understanding the business, identifying the gaps that are slowing growth, and assigning senior-level specialists to the parts of the engagement where they can create the greatest return.

Discovery First

We determine where the engagement can create the most ROI.

Every engagement begins with a collaborative discovery phase designed to understand your business model, internal team, systems, customer journey, market opportunities, seasonal cycles, launch calendar, and operational constraints before we recommend a plan.

Specialist Assignment

The right senior expert owns the right gap.

Brand strategy, business development, creative direction, AI, CRM, operations, public relations, search, and campaign execution are assigned according to the actual needs of the business, not a prebuilt package.

Engagement Flow

A focused path from diagnosis to execution.

01

Discover

Understand the business, goals, team structure, existing systems, customer journey, and highest-value opportunities.

02

Prioritize

Separate urgent activity from strategic leverage so the engagement focuses on work most likely to improve growth, visibility, efficiency, or revenue.

03

Assign

Match senior specialists to the gaps: strategy, creative, communications, operations, AI, CRM, partnerships, launch planning, or execution.

04

Embed

Work inside your meetings, platforms, workflows, planning documents, and communication rhythms as a true extension of the organization.

05

Execute

Move from recommendation to implementation, with the strategists who build the plan staying involved in the work.

06

Optimize

Review performance, adjust priorities, and keep the quarterly strategy connected to what the business is learning in real time.

Living 90-Day Strategy

Clients always know what we are doing now, what comes next, and what the longer-term goal is.

We maintain a living 90-day communications and strategy document that connects monthly execution to quarterly priorities and long-term growth goals. It keeps leadership informed, aligns internal teams, and gives the engagement a clear operating rhythm.

Month 01

Foundation

Discovery findings, priority gaps, messaging needs, systems review, quick wins, and engagement roadmap.

Month 02

Activation

Campaigns, content, outreach, creative production, operational improvements, AI workflows, and assigned workstreams.

Month 03

Optimization

Performance review, refined priorities, stronger systems, next-stage opportunities, and the following quarter’s strategic focus.

Embedded Team Model

We operate from inside the business, not from the edge of it.

When appropriate, Saltwater team members are assigned functional titles within the organization, send emails from company accounts, join internal meetings, work inside existing tools, and communicate as part of the team. The goal is not to look like an outside vendor. The goal is to help the organization move with more senior capacity and better coordination.

  • Company email and internal communication rhythms
  • Assigned roles and clear ownership of workstreams
  • Participation in leadership, marketing, sales, and operations meetings
  • Shared planning documents, dashboards, calendars, and workflows
  • Coordination with internal teams, agencies, vendors, and partners

Not Cookie Cutter

The engagement scales around the moment the business is in.

A launch does not need the same support as a quiet optimization quarter. A seasonal hospitality push does not need the same cadence as a product rollout, investor narrative, retail expansion, or internal systems rebuild. Saltwater scales up or down based on timing, opportunity, urgency, internal capacity, and the specific work required to move the business forward.

Start with the gaps, then build the right team around them.

Tell us what is working, what is stuck, and what needs to happen next. We will help identify the highest-impact path forward.
